Overview
For more than 35 years, T.I.S.(Tecniche Idraulico Stradali) has been working in the specific fields of design, construction and the setting of connecting devices and structural restraining. In seismic protection of reinforced concrete and masonry structures, numerous patents with specific solutions have been developed for new constructions or for the retrofitting of existing ones.
During its process T.I.S. has been diversifying whilst developing great expertise in fields such as restoration and production of special devices for landmarks etc. This enabled the company with a great know-how concerning the employment of a vast range of materials, from rubber to steel, titanium, up to shape memory alloys (SMA) and composite materials (FRP).
T.I.S. works under a Control Quality Process since 1996 and its Quality Control System has been certified by the DNV, (Det Norske Veritas) accredited by the SINCERT and conforming to the ISO 9001/94 standard.
T.I.S. earned the reputation of a high-qualified company in Italy as well as abroad. In fact, it takes part in the writing out of both Italian and European Standards (CEN) and collaborates with private companies, public associations and various Universities for the drawing up of documents, which are specifically referred to bearings, seismic devices, and expansion joints, as well as to maintenance specifications. Such activity guarantees T.I.S. a constant updating on the most advanced requirements and provides a valuable source for technical and professional incentive.
T.I.S. is one of the Founding Members of the ACEDIS, the Italian association of leader companies of structural devices. This helps to work on research as well as update and conform the standards (promoter of the Technical Committee TC 167, concerning bearings and seismic devices and of the EOTA, concerning joints).
The Company carries out the entire activities with its own staff and equipment: design, research and development at its own Technical Division with the headquarter in Rome, and the production, at its own Workshop of Civitacastellana (VT).
It is equipped with an autonomous laboratory, allowing systematic internal controls during the manufacturing process, final controls and tests on complete devices.
The staff of the Logistic Area of Termoli (CB), where vehicles and equipment are stored, is devoted to outside works as installations, lifting operations, structures repair and maintenance.
